The ICTP School on Digital and Multimedia Communications Using Terrestrial and Satellite Radio Links, a joint activity with the International Union of Radio Science (Gent, Belgium), will take place from 12 February to 2 March. The ICTP Winter School on Laser Spectroscopy and Applications, a joint activity with the Optical Society of America (Washington, D.C.), will be held from 19 February to 2 March. The latter will introduce participants to basic modern spectroscopy through lectures, group discussions and laboratory demonstrations.
